Shopify is retiring the REST Admin API. Here's what breaks if your integration isn't adapter-based.

Shopify marked REST Admin API legacy in October 2024 and has been sunsetting individual REST resources ever since — the first wave (products/count.json and others) went dark in October 2025. What the deprecation actually covers, the GraphQL migration path, and why a hardcoded REST integration is the wrong way to have built this in the first place.

Wix just wired Headless into Claude Code and Codex. Here's what that actually unlocks.

On July 21, 2026, Wix announced direct Headless integration with Claude Code, Codex, and Base44 — aimed at "vibe coders" whose AI-generated storefronts hit a wall the moment a customer tries to pay. What it does, what it still doesn't do, and where a bridge layer picks up the rest.

Your vibe-coded storefront looks done. It isn't — here's the part nobody vibes into existence.

AI coding tools can generate a beautiful storefront UI in an afternoon. They cannot generate PCI-compliant payments, real inventory sync, tax calculation, or fraud detection. Shopify's own Field CTO said as much in 2026. What "vibe coding" actually gets you, and what still needs a real backend underneath it.

The Wix headless checkout trap nobody warns you about

You can build any storefront you want on Wix Stores. You cannot build a custom checkout — Wix's ToS forbids it. Here's what that actually means in practice, and the four-step workaround that keeps you compliant.

The true 3-year cost of going headless (with real numbers)

Most headless cost estimates omit the maintenance tax, the peripheral rebuilds, and the engineering opportunity cost. A line-by-line breakdown for a $250K/year store — including what stays the same and what doesn't.

Why we built Trama (and the platform-migration myth)

Every headless tutorial assumes you're willing to migrate platforms. Most stores can't and shouldn't. The bridge-layer pattern, why it took so long to exist, and the architectural bet behind Trama.
